Oak Grove Racing, Gaming & Hotel (the “Property”) is a newer facility in a high traffic area in the heart of Oak Grove, Kentucky, and across the street from a large Army post, Ft. Campbell. The Property is 10 miles from Clarksville, TN and less than 60 miles northwest of downtown Nashville, TN.

JOB SUMMARY

The Cage Cashier is responsible for the redemption of Gaming tickets/TITOs and Sports wagering vouchers, performing Check Cashing/Cash Advance transactions and placing Sports wagers for guests while assuring that guests have a favorable gaming experience.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for cashing customers out, giving correct change, and answering customer questions in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Responsible for placing Sports wagers as well as redeeming Sports wagering vouchers for cash.
  • Responsible for accurately counting and recording assigned funds and making exchanges of funds throughout the shift.
  • Ensuring that guests have a favorable gaming experience.
  • Keeping cash drawer balanced and impressed.
  • Making exchanges with the vault, as necessary.
  • Verifying and documenting personal identification information for check and cash advance transactions.
  • Completing CTRs, W2Gs, and MTLs.
  • Responsible for customer relations.
  • Fill in as a Main Banker when necessary.
  • Tracking and issuing player cards for new and existing accounts.
  • Redeem points from accounts for patrons for cash or prizes.
  • Assisting with weekly and large-scale Gaming Tournaments, including registration.
  • Greeting guests requiring the explanation of the casino, the handing out of coupon books and issuing Oak Grove Players Cards, handling special coupons, and any other business.
  • Ensure the safety and security of guests and Team Members.
  • Assist when needed with Promotions & Special Events setup/teardown, executions and announcing.
  • Other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Available to work when needed, including weekends, holidays, and nights.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • 6 months of cashiering or banking experience preferred.
  • Able to obtain and maintain a valid Kentucky gaming/racing license and a Race and Sportsbook Employee License.
