JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for ensuring optimum property floor cleanliness and presentation. This is an overnight position scheduled to work 11:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for cleaning, maintaining, and repairing all floors throughout Main and auxiliary buildings.
  • Responsible for cleaning, sweeping, mopping, buffing, waxing, vacuuming, or shampooing all required flooring.
  • Responsible for refinishing by removing old flooring, preparing surfaces for new flooring, and installing new floor materials and or floor chemicals.
  • Responsible for operating equipment such as auto scrubbers, burnishers, buffers, carpet extractors and other machines.
  • Responsible for measuring and labeling chemicals correctly, maintaining equipment and ensuring that supplies are clean and in good condition.
  • Responsible for moving furniture, appliances or equipment and performing light window and wall cleaning.
  • Follows the checklists and guidelines for efficient and clean operation of assigned areas.
  • Keeps an inventory of equipment for each floor area.
  • Keeps log of schedules for cleaning and maintenance duties.
  • Assists with receiving equipment and supplies and coordinating distribution and storage.
  • Assists in the maintenance of all storage areas, equipment maintenance, and chemical labeling.
  • Monitors equipment condition and uses all equipment correctly to ensure that it is properly maintained.
  • Attends and participates in pre-shift briefings, arrives on time.
  • Adheres to OSHA and Hazardous Communications safe work practices.
  • Resolves problems that are within the position's scope of authority and recommends courses of action to resolve problems that are beyond the scope of authority to the position’s supervisor.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Ability to multitask in a high-volume hospitality environment.
  • Excellent guest services skills for external and internal guests.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Three to six months of experience in related field. Other combinations of education and experience may be considered.
  • Must obtain and maintain a valid racing license.

The Team Member will be required to stand and walk for extended periods of time. The Team Member may be required to lift up to 50 pounds. The Team Member may occasionally be exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, fumes, or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, extreme cold, and vibration. The Team Member may be required to work long hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud. The work environment may vary in levels of crowds, noise, flashing lights, and smoke, depending on the assigned station and guest volume.
