Role Description
This is a full‑time, on‑site Management Accountant role based in Stoke‑on‑Trent. The Management Accountant will prepare and analyse monthly management accounts, including journals, accruals, prepayments, and balance sheet reconciliations. The role includes supporting budgeting and forecasting cycles, monitoring variances, and providing clear commentary and insights to operational and commercial teams. The Management Accountant will track key performance indicators, support cost control initiatives, and assist with product and margin analysis. Responsibilities also include maintaining strong financial controls, supporting internal and external audit requirements, and contributing to continuous improvement in finance processes and reporting.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Finance and Accounting, with experience in a management accounting or similar finance role.
- Proficiency in preparing and interpreting Financial Statements, including management accounts and variance analysis.
- Hands‑on experience with Accruals, prepayments, and general ledger journals.
- Well‑developed Analytical Skills, with the ability to translate data into clear, actionable insights for non‑finance stakeholders.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and familiar with ERP or accounting systems.
- Relevant professional qualification or part‑qualification (e.g., CIMA, ACCA, ACA) or equivalent experience.
- Strong attention to detail, organisational skills, and the ability to meet deadlines in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work cross‑functionally on‑site.
