Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead our engineering team in the design, development, and implementation of innovative engineering solutions. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in electrical and mechanical engineering, with expertise in systems engineering and product development. This role requires a strategic thinker who can manage multiple projects while ensuring adherence to quality standards and timelines.
Duties
- Strategic Leadership
- Develop and implement the engineering strategy aligned with business objectives.
- Lead capital investment projects and infrastructure upgrades.
- Drive innovation in manufacturing processes and automation.
- Team Management
- Lead, mentor, and develop a multidisciplinary engineering team.
- Oversee recruitment, training, and performance management.
- Operational Excellence
- Ensure efficient maintenance of plant, machinery, and utilities.
- Implement preventative maintenance programs and reduce downtime.
- Monitor and improve engineering KPIs (e.g., OEE, energy usage, reliability).
- Compliance & Safety
- Ensure all engineering activities comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Maintain documentation and standards for audits and certifications.
- Collaboration
- Work closely with Production, Quality, and R&D teams to support product development and process improvements.
- Liaise with external contractors, suppliers, and regulatory bodies.
Qualifications
- Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering (Master\’s preferred).
- Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing, automation, and energy efficiency
- Chartered Engineer status or equivalent professional accreditation.
- Minimum 10 years\’ experience in engineering leadership within manufacturing (ceramics or FMCG preferred).
- Proven track record in project management, team leadership, and strategic planning.
