The Bishop of Hereford is seeking to appoint 6 new full-time Area Deans to support this exciting season of Shared Local Ministry, as we are seeking to build on the strength that already exists within our Churches.
We are looking for clergy rooted in their relationship with Jesus and genuinely sustained by a life of prayer, who combines pastoral sensitivity with strong leadership and excellent interpersonal skills. This is not simply a strategic role, nor just a pastoral one. It requires those who can encourage others, develop leaders, build trust, navigate change with wisdom and help people discover the gifts God has given them for ministry and mission.

Closing date for applications: 15th November 2026
The interviews are scheduled on 1st December as an orientation day for all candidates, 2nd December formal interviews for external candidates, and 3rd December formal interviews for internal candidates.
