York Minster is seeking a Verger. The Verger team plays a critical role, ensuring smooth delivery and running of the worshipping life of the Minster. Working closely with other teams, our Vergers also manage physical spaces and equipment to support events, performances and learning programmes throughout the year.

The successful applicant will have previous experience of working in a worship context, delivering excellence in welcome, and will show a pastoral aptitude.

Please note this role is subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check at enhanced level. The closing date for applications is 4pm on Friday 15 May 2026.
