Our three churches are firmly established at the heart of each community they serve and are deeply committed to sharing the gospel of Jesus in the midst of a multi-lingual, multi-faith and multi-cultural presence and engagement setting.

Ideal Candidate

  • Organised, focused, and hospitable to those within and beyond existing congregations and networks, engaging well with the challenges and joys of being church in a diverse area.
  • Able to see the missional potential of working within largely Muslim neighbourhoods while supporting the missional endeavours and aspirations of the existing worshipping communities.
  • A person of deep faith who can bring joy, prayer, and a dependency on the Holy Spirit to a unified and diverse community of disciples who long to know Jesus more and shape their lives on Him.

Contact and Application

Closing date: 7th June 2026. Interviews: 2nd July 2026. Additional Context

The priest appointed must play a full part in the life of the deanery, particularly Chapter and Synod, and in the wider programmes of the Diocese. Opportunities for ecumenical collaboration should be pursued, and good relationships sought with other faith communities. The Bishop of Birmingham looks for priests to serve as incumbents who have the capacity to grow local church in spiritual depth, in numbers, in confident witness, and in serious engagement with their community. Central to this is the task of identifying, encouraging and endorsing the ministry of others and entrusting them with real responsibility in the work of mission and outreach.
