Holy Trinity, Ramsgate and St Andrew's, Deal are seeking a priest who will help them build on strong foundations as they enter a new chapter in their life and mission. Both stand firmly within the catholic tradition of the Church of England, both are under the episcopal care of the Bishop of Richborough, and both are looking for a priest who will love them, lead them and help them grow in faith, confidence and service.

This appointment offers a rare opportunity to become parish priest of two distinct communities, each with its own history, character and local mission. It is not about creating a single church across two towns, nor about either parish losing its identity. Rather, it is an opportunity to serve two churches that know who they are, value their catholic inheritance and are hopeful about the future.

St Andrew's, Deal is a welcoming parish church serving North Deal and beyond. Centred on the Parish Mass and committed to catholic faith and practice, it combines faithful worship with warm pastoral care, active community engagement and a growing confidence in mission. The parish benefits from a committed congregation, a strong musical tradition, valued links with Deal Parochial School, a well-used parish hall and a wide range of outreach and social activities. There is a strong sense that God is calling the parish onwards and much on which to build.

Holy Trinity, Ramsgate is a vibrant Society parish where worship, music and the ministry of children and young people lie at the heart of church life. Situated on Ramsgate's East Cliff, close to the town centre and Royal Harbour, it combines a rich Anglo-Catholic tradition with strong lay leadership, a flourishing Sunday School, committed pastoral care and close links with Holy Trinity Church of England Primary School. The parish continues to develop with confidence and purpose and is looking forward with confidence and hope to the arrival of its next priest.

Together, these parishes offer a rich and rewarding ministry. They share a commitment to the sacramental life of the Church, value beauty in worship, take children and young people seriously, and recognise the importance of serving their wider communities. They are supported by experienced churchwardens, committed PCCs, gifted lay leaders, dedicated volunteers and supportive retired clergy. The priest appointed will be able to choose between parsonage houses in Ramsgate and Deal.

We are seeking a priest in the traditional catholic tradition of the Church of England who is rooted in prayer, joyful in sacramental ministry and passionate about sharing the Gospel. We hope to appoint someone who will preach and teach the faith with imagination and conviction, encourage the gifts of others, nurture relationships with schools and communities, and help both parishes grow in confidence, discipleship and mission. Above all, we seek a priest who will love these communities, delight in parish ministry, and help each parish grow in faith, confidence and service.

The priest appointed to this role must have been ordained in the Church of England or a church in communion with it and must have successfully completed a training post with the appropriate sign-offs required to apply for an incumbency or other ordained role. Applicants must have the right to work in the UK as this post does not currently qualify for visa sponsorship.

The priest appointed will serve as an office holder under Common Tenure, and the Ecclesiastical Offices (Terms of Service) Regulations will apply.
