Do you feel challenged to take up a role as a strategic leader to build and grow the ministry for Children & Young People? If your answer is Yes to these questions, then Cambourne Church would love to hear from you! We are a thriving, broadly evangelical church – a local ecumenical partnership of the Church of England, Baptist Union, United Reformed Church, and Methodist Church. We are situated to the west of Cambridge, and we are looking for someone to take responsibility for the strategic development, oversight and ensuring delivery of our ministry with children and young people, in the context of the church's wider vision and mission. Cambourne Church is totally committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and adults at risk. All post holders and volunteers are expected to share this commitment.
We seek to build on the previous excellent work of our former children and young people ministry team leader, developing the groups and work we already do and responding creatively to emerging opportunities. We are seeking someone who can work as part of the Ministry Leadership Team to support the vision, mission and ministry of the church, developing, nurturing and leading a team of volunteers, and someone who has the ability to communicate faith in Jesus and explore this in a fun and engaging way, with children, young people and their families, enabling them to grow in their discipleship journeys and as integral members of the church family.
