The Diocese of Exeter seeks to appoint a dynamic Lay Missional Formation Officer to empower lay disciples for missional transformation by being part of the newly formed Formation Team:
- Inspiring and equipping missionary disciples and stimulating vocational confidence
- Discerning and resourcing an increased diversity of missionally focussed lay leadership roles
- Reframing and equipping current lay leadership for mission with life‐long learning
The focus of this role is 'Missional DNA': inspiring, supporting, enabling and training missionary disciples so that our churches may be increasingly outward looking, invitational, actively hospitable and engaged with their wider communities.
The ideal candidate will possess the following attributes:
- A passion for mission, evangelism and church growth
- A proven ability to encourage and enable the gifts and skills of others
- Experience of designing and delivering training courses
- Wide ranging experience of church leadership in a lay or ordained capacity
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
- An entrepreneurial and collaborative approach
Salary: £45,000 to £48,000 per annum depending on experience (1.00 FTE)
Hours: 36.25 hours per week (Full time)
