In the last three months at St Nicholas’ our Sunday attendance has nearly doubled. We believe that God is on the move in our town, and we’re seeking a PA & Administration Co‑Ordinator to play a pivotal role in helping St Nicholas’ Cramlington step confidently into a new season of growth and mission. This is a one-year post designed to strengthen the church’s organisational foundations, support the Rector in the effective leadership of the parish, and develop the systems, structures, and volunteer teams needed for long-term flourishing.
While there is potential for the role to continue beyond the initial year if funding allows, the primary vision is that the postholder will intentionally raise up and equip volunteers to take ownership of most (but not all) areas of responsibility currently covered by the role. Working closely with clergy, churchwardens, and volunteer leaders, the successful candidate will help build a culture of shared leadership, ensuring that key administrative functions are sustainable and effective.
They will oversee the implementation of ChurchSuite, improve organisational systems and communication, coordinate administrative volunteers, and help ensure that the church’s growing ministry is well‑supported behind the scenes. The role also includes serving as Personal Assistant to the Rector, providing ongoing administrative support that will remain a core responsibility of the post.
This role would suit a highly organised and relational individual who enjoys building teams, creating systems, and enabling others to thrive.
