CHILDREN AND YOUTH MISSION ENABLER

Could God be calling you to inspire the next generation?

Wyberton St Leodegar's is an active, growing evangelical church with a heart for mission, discipleship, and reaching its local community. We are investing in the future and are seeking an enthusiastic, faith-filled Children, Youth & Families Worker to lead and develop our ministry amongst children, young people and their families. Based at Wyberton St Leodegar's Church, this role offers the opportunity to build on existing foundations while developing exciting new initiatives that help young people encounter Jesus, grow in faith, and become lifelong disciples.

This is not simply a programme delivery role. We are looking for someone who can inspire, lead and equip others, helping to create a culture where children and young people flourish spiritually and discover their God-given gifts.

What You'll Be Doing

You will lead and develop our work with children, young people and families both within the church and the wider community. Working alongside church leaders, volunteers and families, you will:

  • Build meaningful relationships with children, young people and their families.
  • Develop innovative and engaging ministries that encourage faith, discipleship and spiritual growth.
  • Recruit, train and support a thriving volunteer team.
  • Play an active role in church worship, services and community outreach.
  • Create opportunities for young people to explore, discover and deepen their Christian faith.
  • Help shape the future vision for children, youth and family ministry at Wyberton St Leodegar's.

Who We're Looking For

We're seeking someone who is passionate about seeing children and young people come to know Jesus and who can communicate the Christian faith in creative, relevant and engaging ways.

You might already be working in youth, children's or family ministry and be looking for your next challenge. Alternatively, you may have completed ministry training and be ready to take a significant step into leadership. We welcome applications from those with relevant ministry experience and a desire to grow and develop further.

You'll bring:

  • A vibrant and active Christian faith.
  • Experience of working with children and/or young people.
  • Strong relationship-building and communication skills.
  • The ability to motivate, encourage and develop volunteers.
  • Energy, creativity and initiative.
  • Good organisational and administrative skills.
  • A recognised Level 3 qualification (A-Level or equivalent).
  • A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.

What We Offer

  • Salary of Β£30,000.
  • A supportive church leadership team committed to the ministry of children and young people.
  • Laptop, mobile phone, office space and mileage allowance.
  • Opportunities for ongoing professional and spiritual development.
  • The chance to make a genuine and lasting impact in a growing church and community.

As the role involves leading Christian discipleship and ministry, there is a Genuine Occupational Requirement for the post-holder to be a committed Christian and an active participant in the worshipping life of the church
