The Diocese of Oxford, and Magdalen College, Oxford as the patrons, seek to appoint to the Benefice of Beaconsfield which consists of three churches, under the overall ministry of a Team Rector. We are looking for a full-time stipendiary incumbent who will combine the duties of Rector of St Michael and All Angels Church with the duties of Team Rector for the Parish.
St Michael’s is a welcoming and inclusive modern-catholic church. Prayer, sacramental worship and community lie at our heart: every Sunday service is Eucharistic, enriched by Anglican liturgy, choir and organ.
We are looking for a Team Rector who:
- will joyfully preside at the Eucharist and deepen our sacramental life
- respects the sanctity of our modern-catholic tradition while gladly embracing the breadth of the Church
- can draw thoughtfully on liturgy, to nourish worship, preaching and discipleship
- leads openly and generously, helping three distinctive churches flourish as one family
- engages warmly with children, families, schools and people exploring faith
- combines prayerful vision, compassionate pastoral care with clear leadership and organisation
What we can offer:
- a loving, supportive church family eager to welcome you and help you feel at home with paid administrative support
- beautiful Eucharistic worship, excellent music, a gifted laity and two full-time ordained colleagues
- three individual churches in the Beaconsfield Team, with a growing team ethos and genuinely generous spirit
- time for retreat, study and spiritual development
- a characterful four-bedroom parsonage beside St Michael’s, close to key local amenities and transport links
