Associate Priest (House for Duty: 2 days plus Sunday)
Benefice of Cherbury with Gainfield, Oxfordshire
A kettle on the boil. Muddy boots by the door. Seven villages where people genuinely look out for each other. If that sounds like your kind of ministry, you may feel very much at home here.
We’re looking for a prayerful, energetic, compassionate priest who understands the joys (and occasional chaos) of rural multi‑parish life—and who wants to join a supportive, good‑humoured ministry team serving seven churches in one very lovely corner of Oxfordshire, ten miles south‑west of Oxford.
This is a place where faith runs deep (even when unspoken), where community really matters, and where the best pastoral encounters often happen over a garden gate or at a village coffee morning. We’d love to welcome a colleague who enjoys that kind of ministry as much as we do.
Interested?
We’d love to talk—informally, openly, no pressure.

Because sometimes the best ministry really does happen with muddy boots and a warm mug in hand.
