The Role
- Support the Director of Finance in delivering a proactive, efficient and highly effective finance service across the Diocese Board of Finance and Trust custodian company, and support the larger finance team managing the Board of Education.
- Take ownership of the budget and forecast, run month-end and reporting processes, interact with Heads of Department and key clergy, manage tax and statutory reporting, and lead system optimisation.
- Work within a 9-person finance team that has undergone recent change, including the introduction of a new system three years ago.
About You
- Experienced and highly motivated Accountant or Finance professional who embraces a varied role.
- Proven ability to produce timely, high-quality and accurate financial information; strong numerical proficiency, confident communication, organisational and monitoring skills.
- Flexible working style and a "can-do" approach that inspires high-impact reporting for stakeholders.
- Fluency in English; right to live and work in the United Kingdom.
