Our client, a well-established VMware Partner and professional services organisation is seeking a VMware Consultant to join their dynamic on-site team. This role requires SC clearance and a commitment to working on-site five days a week.
As a VMware Consultant, you will play a key role in transforming cost models into actionable insights and developing comprehensive reporting and monitoring solutions. Your work will directly support operational excellence by providing clear, data-driven visibility into usage, costs, and infrastructure health.
Key Responsibilities:- Translate agreed cost models into formats compatible with Aria Operations.
- Develop detailed, customisable billing reports aligned with cost model line items.
- Build scalable report templates that can be cloned for individual customers.
- Create a centralised dashboard offering a consolidated view of usage and cost across all customers.
- Generate service-level reports to analyse billable costs versus utilisation and capacity.
- Design and enhance infrastructure health dashboards for VMware stacks (VCF, Omnissa, VXRail) and additional hosted services (e.g., InfoBox, HashiCorp Vault).
- Source or develop dashboards for monitoring common services such as Active Directory.
- Implement user-friendly RAG status dashboards to support out-of-hours operations with clear, actionable alerts.
- Demonstrated experience in operations with a strong focus on cost modelling and report generation.
- Proficiency with Aria Operations and VMware infrastructure configurations.
- Strong analytical skills with an ability to interpret complex data sets and communicate findings effectively.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to collaborate across teams and with clients.
- Must hold a SC clearance.
- Commitment to working full-time on-site, five days per week.
