Vacancy Description:
We are partnering with a client who is expanding their team and seeking a motivated 2nd Line Service Desk Engineer. If you are currently in a similar role and looking for the next step in your career, this is an excellent opportunity.
The ideal candidate will have experience working with managed service providers (MSPs) and service desks, collaborating with third-party companies to optimise IT performance. Our client has a strong track record in managing system integration projects across various industries, and they are looking for a team player who is eager to grow and develop with them.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handle Service Desk incident tickets, including acting as an escalation point for complex issues.
- Follow both customer and internal processes for request tickets to ensure consistency and quality.
- Visit customer sites to deliver IT Surgery days and complete troubleshooting tasks.
- Continuously learn and adapt to new technologies, with a strong drive to achieve certifications.
Required Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years in an IT support role.
- At least 2 years of experience in Network Management & Support.
- Strong troubleshooting skills for Windows desktop systems.
Desirable Skills:
- Experience with MSPs.
- Cisco CCNA or CCNP certification.
- Microsoft 365, Azure, or security certifications.
- Experience with Microsoft 365, InTune & Azure administration.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Teams administration.
- Expertise in Windows Desktop Operating Systems.
- Experience with Apple OS and Apple Mac support.
- Familiarity with the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Proficient in laptop/desktop and thin client support.
- Knowledge of Backup Technologies (Acronis).
- Experience with Microsoft Server 2008–2016.
- Skills in Exchange / AD Management / MS365.
- Cisco, Fortinet, and Ubiquiti Networking experience.
- Excellent communication skills and a customer service-oriented mindset.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
