If that sounds like you, we have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Accountant to join our GMG Finance team and support a critical period of transition. This role is a maternity cover for 1-year.
This role is based in our UK Corporate Office in Folkestone, Kent and allows for home working up to 3 days per week. This is a hands‑on, high‑impact role where you’ll take ownership of key close, reporting and control processes across a complex, multi‑entity international environment. Working closely with Finance, IT and cross‑functional teams, you’ll ensure continuity, accuracy and efficiency—playing a vital role in maintaining high standards during a period of change.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead monthly and quarterly financial close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Prepare and review journal entries, accruals and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Support SAP processes, including allocations, reporting and issue resolution.
- Assist with VAT, statutory and regulatory reporting requirements.
- Maintain strong financial controls and ensure audit readiness.
- Partner with IT on system improvements, testing and process optimisation.
- Collaborate with regional finance teams and manage cross‑functional deliverables.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; ACCA preferred.
- 5+ years’ experience in accounting within a corporate or multinational environment.
- Strong SAP experience (FI/CO; COPA desirable).
- Advanced Excel skills; Power BI or similar tools advantageous.
- Experience working in multi‑entity or international environments.

Comfortable working independently, you bring excellent organisational and problem‑solving skills along with the ability to communicate effectively across teams.
