If that sounds like you, we have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Accountant to join our GMG Finance team and support a critical period of transition. This role is a maternity cover for 1-year.

This role is based in our UK Corporate Office in Folkestone, Kent and allows for home working up to 3 days per week. This is a hands‑on, high‑impact role where you’ll take ownership of key close, reporting and control processes across a complex, multi‑entity international environment. Working closely with Finance, IT and cross‑functional teams, you’ll ensure continuity, accuracy and efficiency—playing a vital role in maintaining high standards during a period of change.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead monthly and quarterly financial close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Prepare and review journal entries, accruals and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Support SAP processes, including allocations, reporting and issue resolution.
  • Assist with VAT, statutory and regulatory reporting requirements.
  • Maintain strong financial controls and ensure audit readiness.
  • Partner with IT on system improvements, testing and process optimisation.
  • Collaborate with regional finance teams and manage cross‑functional deliverables.
Education & Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; ACCA preferred.
  • 5+ years’ experience in accounting within a corporate or multinational environment.
  • Strong SAP experience (FI/CO; COPA desirable).
  • Advanced Excel skills; Power BI or similar tools advantageous.
  • Experience working in multi‑entity or international environments.

You’ll be a proactive, detail‑focused finance professional with a strong sense of ownership and accountability. Comfortable working independently, you bring excellent organisational and problem‑solving skills along with the ability to communicate effectively across teams. You thrive in a fast‑paced environment and are driven to improve processes, ensuring high standards of accuracy, compliance and efficiency.

This role works Monday – Friday, 37-hours per week. In return we offer a competitive package, including 24 days annual leave (pro rata), a pension matched up to 9%, life assurance cover and membership of a health cash plan.
