Key Responsibilities
- Business Development: Identify and appoint top distribution partners in key markets. Drive sales and profit targets through effective distributor management. Monitor in‑market sales and distributor stock levels to achieve budgeted outcomes. Analyse sales and brand performance to drive further profitable growth.
- Marketing: Develop and implement marketing activity calendars with distributors. Collaborate with International and local Brand Managers to align marketing activities with brand strategy. Oversee the successful implementation of marketing activities and new product developments. Document and account for funded marketing activities; keep management informed of relevant market intelligence.
- Financial: Manage all aspects of Customer P&L, including marketing investments. Prepare profit forecasts, sales and A&P budgets per distributor, and conduct quarterly reviews. Monitor and control market profitability; report monthly on performance. Allocate marketing budgets, verify invoices, and ensure transparency in expenditures.
- Distributors: Motivate, challenge, and support distributors to maximise sales and profit growth. Evaluate existing and potential new distributor performance; recommend and appoint new distributors in greenfield areas. Manage business transfers between distributors as required. Set and control pricing with GMG Director approval; oversee launches of new brands and SKUs.
- Logistics: Input monthly demand forecasting and liaise with Export Customer Service and Logistics to ensure timely order fulfilment.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of relevant international experience.
- Experience building businesses within Western & Eastern Europe and Global Markets (Export) Account Management in the FMCG sector.
- Knowledge of multi‑channel FDM desirable.
- Strong marketing and brand‑building knowledge.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Self‑starter with demonstrated ability to deliver projects on time.
- Business hunter mindset with a drive for success and sales/marketing orientation.
- Team player with strong relationship‑building skills and cultural sensitivity.
- Familiarity with MS Office applications.
