If that sounds like you, we have an exciting opportunity for an EMEA International Commercial Counsel to join our Legal team and partner closely with business leaders across Europe, India, the Middle East and Africa. This role is based in our London Office and allows for home working up to 2-3 days per week. This is a high-impact, strategic legal role supporting a broad international footprint. You’ll act as a trusted advisor to commercial teams, providing pragmatic, business-focused legal guidance that enables growth while managing risk.
Working across multiple markets and functions, you’ll play a key role in shaping commercial decisions, supporting strategic initiatives such as M&A activity, and ensuring robust legal frameworks are in place to support our expanding business.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide practical legal advice across commercial, regulatory and international matters.
- Draft, negotiate and advise on complex commercial agreements, including distributor and third-party contracts.
- Partner with Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain and Finance to support business strategy.
- Lead contract lifecycle management, including compliance, disputes and terminations.
- Support strategic initiatives such as M&A, due diligence and integration projects.
- Manage external counsel to ensure high-quality, cost-effective legal support.
- Build strong stakeholder relationships and influence decision-making at all levels.
- Qualified solicitor or barrister (UK or equivalent jurisdiction).
- 7–10+ years’ experience in commercial law within a leading law firm and/or in-house.
- Strong experience negotiating international commercial agreements.
- Experience in consumer goods, technology or digital sectors preferred.
- Exposure to multi-jurisdictional environments and distributor networks advantageous.
- Additional European language (French or German) beneficial.
You’ll be a commercially astute and pragmatic legal professional with excellent communication and negotiation skills. Comfortable working across multiple geographies and functions, you can translate complex legal concepts into clear business advice. You’re proactive, adaptable, and solutions-focused, with the credibility to influence senior stakeholders and balance legal risk with commercial opportunity.
This role works Monday – Friday, 37-hours per week. In return we offer a competitive package, including a generous car allowance, bonus, long-term incentive plan, 24 days annual leave, a pension matched up to 9%, life assurance cover, private medical insurance and membership of a health cash plan.
