Church & Dwight UK Ltd is offering a Graduate Finance Assistant position based at our UK Head Office in Folkestone, Kent, with hybrid working 2 – 3 days per week. This is a fixed‑term contract covering the length of ACCA / CIMA studies.
This role is ideal for someone who has completed a degree in a relevant subject who is ready to develop professionally through gaining a Level 7 qualification while gaining real‑world experience in a SOX‑compliant, multinational organisation. As a Graduate Finance Assistant, you’ll join our Transactional Finance team, supporting day‑to‑day finance operations while developing the knowledge, skills and behaviours required for becoming a qualified accountant. You’ll gain hands‑on experience across accounts payable, expenses, banking, reconciliations and month‑end close activities, gradually building capability toward financial reporting responsibilities. The role also offers exposure to SAP systems, multi‑currency processes, and strong internal and external stakeholder interaction.
Responsibilities
- Support delivery of departmental KPIs and service standards.
- Own processing of employee expenses via Concur and reconcile balances.
- Assist with invoice processing, three‑way matching and discrepancy resolution.
- Help manage supplier ledgers, ensuring timely payment and issue resolution.
- Support payment run preparation and uploads (multi‑currency).
- Assist with daily and monthly multi‑currency bank reconciliations.
- Maintain accurate financial records and ensure correct filing.
- Liaise with suppliers, internal teams and banking partners.
- Support SOX compliance activities and audit evidence preparation.
- Assist with month‑end close, balance sheet reconciliations and VAT tasks.
- Prepare basic analysis and reports for the finance team.
- Contribute ideas for process improvement and efficiency.
Full training, supervision and development support will be provided alongside the apprenticeship.
Education & Experience
- Degree in relevant field, ready to study at ACCA / CIMA level.
- Previous experience in a finance, accounts payable or transactional finance role is beneficial.
- Exposure to SAP Concur and/or SAP ERP desirable but not essential.
- Intermediate Excel skills or a willingness to develop them further.
- Comfortable working in a structured, compliance‑driven environment.
