Are you an experienced Multi-Skilled Engineer searching for a new exciting challenge?
If the answer is yes, then look no further. Church & Dwight UK Ltd has an exciting opportunity for a Multi-Skilled Engineer to join our team on a permanent basis.
Based at our manufacturing site in Folkestone, this role involves maintenance and repairs of production and plant equipment, driving efficiency through continuous improvement activities and automation developments.
Multi-Skilled Engineers ensure that regular checks are completed and test plant equipment to ensure proper operation. Working as part of a small team, you will execute maintenance procedures, prioritize work according to plant needs and production schedules, and ensure strict adherence to Health & Safety and Quality procedures.
This role requires working a 12-hour shift on a rotating pattern from 6am to 6pm and 6pm to 6am, on a 4 on 4 off schedule.
The ideal candidate must have both electrical and mechanical backgrounds, with experience working on high-speed lines in a Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) environment.
You should be an enthusiastic team player with excellent problem-solving and communication skills, capable of interacting effectively with staff and contractors at all levels.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Extensive experience with processing and packaging machinery
- Mechanical qualification (City & Guilds or NVQ Level 3 or equivalent)
- Electrical qualification (City & Guilds or NVQ Level 3 or equivalent)
- Experience troubleshooting PLC & robotic issues
- Experience in reactive, planned, preventative, and predictive maintenance
- Knowledge of leading continuous improvement and SMED projects
- Understanding of COSHH regulations
- Basic Lean Six Sigma knowledge or qualifications is a plus
