Chump Tools Limited is a small UK based manufacturer of construction fixings and tools.

The first product was the CHUMPFix, followed by the CHUMPFixL. We are currently launching CHUMPRound, with more products due to be launched later in 2026 and throughout 2027. With our expanding portfolio the business requires an additional member of the team.

Role Description

The Marketing and Advertising Manager is a full-time role based in South Croydon, with flexibility for some working from home. This role is responsible for planning and executing marketing and advertising campaigns that promote all Chump products across digital and traditional channels. Success will be measured by the increase in turnover resulting from the activity of this position. Day-to-day tasks include coordinating promotional materials, managing our social media and online presence, managing customer communications, and assisting with public relations activities.

The manager will monitor campaign performance, gather customer feedback, and ensure consistent brand messaging. The role will be responsible for managing the company's attendance at exhibitions and trade days at wholesalers, colleges and similar. This will include product demonstrations and training, which will be both online and face-to-face with customers. You will be expected to contribute towards creative ideas to strengthen brand awareness and customer engagement.

Qualifications

• Solid knowledge of Marketing and Marketing Management, including campaign planning and brand positioning.
• Experience with Advertising initiatives, such as developing promotional content and coordinating media placements.
• Background in Customer Service, with the ability to handle inquiries and support a positive customer experience.
• Familiarity with Public Relations activities, including drafting announcements and supporting media outreach.
• Experience in social media marketing with both content creation and development of the channels with use of metrics.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail and a clear, professional style.
• Proficiency with basic digital tools (e.g., social media platforms, email marketing, office productivity software).
• Ability to analyse sales data, prepare forecasts, and use CRM or similar tools to manage pipelines and customer information.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Comfort working both independently and collaboratively.
• Knowledge of trade, retail, and contractor sales channels and comfort engaging with electricians, installers, wholesalers and other professionals.
• Previous experience in tools, hardware, construction, or DIY-related industries is an advantage.
• Comfort working on-site, visiting customer locations and trade shows, to conduct hands‑on product demonstrations as needed.
• Relevant education or training in business, sales, marketing, or a related field;
• Experience in a small or growing company environment is an advantage.
