Chumley is looking for a Junior Software Engineer to help design, build, and scale internal and customer-facing products from the ground up. You will work end-to-end across the stack, with a strong focus on modern front-end tooling, performant back-end services, and deep integrations with internal systems like Salesforce.
- Building fast, responsive front-end interfaces using React and Vite.
- Integrating core products with Salesforce and other operational systems.
- Developing and maintaining features that support field engineers and operations teams.
- Experimenting with AI and chatbots to automate workflows and improve user and customer experiences.
- Writing clean, maintainable, and tested code, and participating in code reviews.
Strong proficiency with:
- React, modern JavaScript/TypeScript, and Vite or equivalent tooling.
- Node.js or similar with RESTful or GraphQL APIs.
- Experience integrating or working with Salesforce (APIs, webhooks, or data pipelines).
- Good understanding of application architecture, performance, and security.
- Comfort working in a small, fast-moving startup, taking ownership from idea to deployment.
- Hands-on experience with AI, LLMs, or building chatbots (support bots, internal assistants, or workflow automations).
- Experience with CI/CD, cloud platforms, and DevOps practices.
- Knowledge of SQL/NoSQL databases and data modelling.
- Previous work on tools for trades, field services, logistics, or other operations-heavy environments.
