This position is based in Portsmouth, VA.
Job Overview
The Integrated Systems Technician will provide technical and logistical depot level lifecycle hardware and software support services for CG‑ECDIS, ECS, and SeaWatch Command and Control (C2AFL).
Responsibilities
- Provide and supports installation, testing, verification, repair, diagnostic analysis, and calibration of C2AFL systems.
- Provide organizational, intermediate, and depot level troubleshooting and support of fielded systems.
- Provide technical support in the form of read system drawings, blueprints, bills of materials, and technical manuals.
- Provide oral, written, on‑site, or other troubleshooting assistance.
- Assists in preparing, reviewing, and managing technical documentation, instructions, procedures, and staging lists.
- Interface and coordinates with Government personnel, subcontractors, or other vendor personnel to arrange diagnostics, repairs, and order and manage parts.
- Provide supply level support by documenting and communicating results to Government representatives.
- Other duties as assigned.
Ability to travel and work independently. Keep managers and supervisors apprised of their progress, ability to work well with others, adhere to contract requirements, and comply with company policies and procedures.
Job Requirements
Mandatory
- Must be a US citizen
- Must be able to obtain and maintain secret clearance.
- Completion of USCG or DOD technical A School.
- College electronics course curriculum with award of a BSEET/BSEE or Certification in an advanced electronics program from a technical school along with five years’ experience troubleshooting and maintaining DHS or DOD electronics equipment.
- Must be able to successfully pass a pre‑employment background check and pre‑hire drug test.
Preferred
- Network certifications such as CompTIA Network+, Cisco Certified Entry Networking Technician (CCENT), or Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
Working Conditions
Must be able to work remotely, customer land based and on shipboard sites.
Physical Requirements
Ability to travel. Must be able to carry and install equipment as required.
