Responsibilities and Qualifications
- Establish constructive relationships with the pupil and encourage interaction with others.
- Promote inclusion through the development of social skills, language and emotional well-being.
- Liaise with other professionals both within and outside the school.
- Show a high degree of initiative and react to given situations with integrity and compassion.
- Have significant experience supporting pupils with SEND and diverse learning needs.
- Support the planning, delivery, and evaluation of learning activities under the guidance of teaching staff.
- Have a proven track record of implementing high-quality targeted interventions linked to Communication and Interaction and Speech and Language.
- Display sufficient experience with implementing a total communication environment to support pupils with significant communication barriers and needs.
- Confidently lead interventions, support pupils with complex needs, contribute to planning and assessment, and promote positive learning outcomes across the school.
- Contribute to pupil reviews, Individual Education Plans (IEPs), and progress reports.
