Underwriter - Construction, CAR

b Overview /b p As Construction Underwriter at Chubb, you will drive underwriting income and profit in the Contractors All Risks area. You will grow the portfolio with key brokers and clients while maintaining existing accounts, within approved guidelines and capacity. You will contribute to underwriting strategy, pricing, and product development to improve client retention and new business. You will promote Chubb to brokers and clients domestically and overseas and uphold high standards of integrity and compliance. This role offers impact through portfolio management and cross‑functional collaboration to meet business goals. /p b Responsibilities /b ul li Underwrite new business or renewals according to guidelines, budget, and local business plan /li li Support portfolio strategy, forecasting, and profitability targets /li li Participate in quantitative underwriting reviews and management/peer meetings /li li Prioritize and develop CAR/Construction products to improve retention and new business /li li Represent Chubb to brokers and clients, servicing producers and maximizing cross-selling /li li Ensure policy documentation, quoting timeframes, and compliance are met /li li Maintain contact with internal colleagues and major domestic/overseas clients and brokers /li /ul b Key requirements /b ul li Good experience and understanding of the CAR/Construction market /li li Strong knowledge of risk selection, exposures, pricing, and coverage in CAR/Construction /li li Experience dealing with brokers of all tiers and clients /li li Results-driven with ability to work independently /li li Continues to develop technical and broader business skills /li li ACII preferred, but not essential /li /ul ul li Relationship management with brokers and clients /li li Initiative and self-motivation /li li Collaboration and cross-functional teamwork /li li CAR/Construction underwriting /li li Risk assessment and pricing /li li Portfolio management and product development /li /ul
