This is a hybrid role which requires a minimum of 3 days in the office weekly and flexibility where training/meetings are required. You will join the team in the NUC in delivering a high-quality service to our clients and brokers whilst practicing and developing technical capability and broader business skills in the Insurance Industry. The primary purpose of this role is to renew Property, Liability, PI & Cyber risks for Life Science clients, ranging in size from lower mid-market risks to large multinational programme exposures. You will work collaboratively with our UKI branch and distribution teams and local managers and will develop key broker and client relationships.

You will also work closely with our claims, risk engineering and global services team to provide excellent service to our brokers and clients, as well as with our other underwriting teams to provide cross-lines solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Underwriting – Underwrite renewal accounts according to defined underwriting guidelines and strategies.
• Build and maintain relationships with a panel of brokers, ensuring our product and proposition is communicated, and working with regional underwriters and distribution to ensure proactive retention, account rounding, upselling and cross-sell opportunities.
• Financial - Contribute towards achieving the Life Science financial plan.
• Compliance and Procedures - Meet company standards in respect of policy documentation, contract certainty, peer review, audit, compliance, legal and regulatory requirements.
• Chubb Representative - Represent and promote Chubb to brokers and clients. Represent the Life Science team internally at production, renewal and other internal Chubb meetings where required.
• Cross-sell - Pro-actively maximise cross-selling opportunities through collaboration with Chubb colleagues.

Qualifications:

• Good working knowledge of the insurance market, and ideally 5 years’ experience of dealing with brokers and clients.
• Experience of the Life Science sector is desired but not essential.
• Results driven with ability to make decisions and work on your own initiative.
• Desire to continue to develop technical and broader business skills.
• Property & Casualty underwriting knowledge and experience is essential. PI/Cyber underwriting knowledge and experience is an advantage but not essential as training will be provided.
• Multinational experience is an advantage but not essential as training will be provided.
