Our London Aviation Team is dynamic, collaborative, and driven by a shared ambition to lead the market and deliver outstanding results for our clients and partners. We are searching for an Aerospace Underwriter to form a key part of this team. In this role, you will help drive the growth of our aerospace portfolio with key brokers and clients, while maintaining and developing a portfolio of existing accounts. Key Responsibilities- Underwrite new business and renewals in line with Chubb's underwriting guidelines, budget, and local business plan.
- Build, maintain, and develop a robust portfolio of existing and new aerospace accounts.
- Represent and promote the Chubb brand to brokers, clients, and internal stakeholders—acting as a true ambassador for our business.
- Collaborate with colleagues to shape underwriting strategy, forecasts, and portfolio management to achieve profitability targets.
- Deliver exceptional service to clients and internal business partners, ensuring Chubb's reputation for quality and reliability is upheld.
- Maintain ongoing communication with internal teams and external partners to foster a culture of collaboration and shared success.
- 18+ months of aviation (underwriting/broking) or relevant market experience.
- Strong understanding of the insurance market, with a proven track record of working with brokers and clients.
- Results-driven, with the confidence to make decisions and work independently.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence at all levels.
- Exceptional attention to detail, organizational, and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Team player who thrives in a collaborative environment.
- Committed to delivering high-quality service to clients and colleagues.
- ACII qualification (or working towards) preferred, but not essential.
