The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 £ per year.
This position involves the underwriting of new and existing business in the Life Science sector. This can be any combination of mono-line or packaged Employers Liability, Public Liability, Products & Services Liability, Property, Clinical Trials and Errors and Omissions and Cyber.
The successful candidate will develop and execute a business plan focusing on strong broker relationships, sector knowledge, and market profile. They will have involvement in local strategic management, sound business acumen, and sound technical knowledge.
Key Responsibilities:- Development, growth, profitability and service of existing client and acquisition of new business.
- Responsible for service on a small number of key branch retained accounts, and deliver a personal new business target for UKI.
- Build and maintain relationships with a panel of designated brokers, ensuring our product and proposition is communicated, and working with BDMs to ensure proactive pipelining of new business and cross-sell opportunities utilizing Salesforce.
- Technical specialist for Life Science with external profile as a subject matter expert.
- Representing Chubb externally with brokers and within the sector.
- Assist with the budgeting process including setting plan, and providing accurate predictions and reforecasts to help with business planning.
- Obtains and analyses account-specific information and ensures accuracy and compliance with underwriting strategy and authority.
- Contribute towards implementation of our marketing plan, helping to communicate and promote our proposition to our broker partners and the industry.
- Contribute towards the growth, profitability, innovation, and service proposition of the Life Science Practice across UKI.
- Coach and support Junior NUC/UKI Branch team members including taking referrals.
- Experience of the Life Science Sector is strongly preferred.
- Experience of underwriting and servicing multinational clients, and has knowledge of programme structure and compliance requirements.
- Ability to underwrite multiline accounts.
- Under minimal direction, works within delegated underwriting authority.
- Strong expertise in risk analysis, interpretation and analysis of claims, and appropriate deployment of loss control resources.
- Proven ability to successfully negotiate on all levels and develop broker relationships.
- Aptitude to attract and retain profitable business.
- Strong interpersonal, written communication skills and focus on quality.
