As the Head of EMEA Commercial Insurance Actuarial, you will play a pivotal role in supporting Chubb’s commercial insurance ambitions by driving actuarial excellence, innovation, and strategic partnership across the region.
Key Responsibilities- Commercial Insurance Actuarial Leadership
- Serve as the actuarial lead for Chubb’s EMEA Commercial Insurance business, supporting growth and innovation in the middle market.
- Collaborate with Regional Executives, Commercial Insurance Managers, and underwriting teams to deliver technical excellence and market-leading solutions.
- Provide actuarial insight and guidance to support product development, pricing strategy, and portfolio management for commercial lines.
- Pricing Model Development & Implementation
- Create and implement RADAR pricing models for DuckCreek and oversee Ignite pricing models to accelerate Commercial Insurance initiatives.
- Calibrate and document pricing models for both local and international business needs, ensuring compliance with regulatory and internal standards.
- Team Leadership & Management
- Lead and develop the e-Pricing team, fostering a high-performance culture.
- Manage a specialized actuarial team, ensuring alignment with local and regional requirements.
- Strategic Roadmap & Portfolio Management
- Design, build, and execute the roadmap for the future state actuarial organization.
- Drive portfolio management activities, including rate adequacy analysis, KPI preparation, business reviews, and planning.
- Support new product and territory analysis, and contribute to M&A due diligence as needed.
- Data Integration & Analytics
- Partner closely with the data & analytics team to integrate data science and generative learning into actuarial practices.
- Collaborate with international actuarial teams to share expertise and balance capacity.
- Stakeholder Engagement & Communication
- Deliver executive-level communications and technical results to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Advise on reserving positions and capital requirements in conjunction with international teams.
- Qualified actuary with a strong background in pricing and reserving, ideally for commercial insurance.
- Demonstrated leadership qualities, including the ability to inspire and influence leaders and peers.
- Strategic thinker with structured problem-solving skills.
- Strong drive for results and a proven track record of execution.
- Experience managing teams and collaborating across multinational regions.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate technical insights for diverse audiences.
- Passion for innovation and continuous improvement in commercial insurance.
