The Opportunity
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Head of Business Development to lead our Consumer UK portfolio. This is a pivotal leadership role responsible for driving new business growth across Accident & Health and Personal Lines products. You will own the new business strategy, build and manage a high-quality pipeline, and lead conversion through close collaboration with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver the UK Consumer New Business plan, setting and achieving product-level targets.
- Build, manage, and execute a robust pipeline across all Consumer verticals.
- Ensure disciplined opportunity management, maintaining accurate records and progression in HubSpot.
- Monitor submissions and proactively manage opportunities through the full sales lifecycle.
- Collaborate with Underwriting, Legal, Compliance, Marketing, Digital, and Account Management teams to ensure timely, high-quality responses.
- Track, analyse, and improve conversion rates and sales KPIs, taking corrective action as needed.
- Work closely with Marketing to ensure impactful sales collateral supports growth.
- Partner with Account Managers to identify and develop cross-sell and up-sell opportunities.
- Support digital growth targets and optimise digital distribution in partnership with the Digital team.
- Leverage relationships across the wider Chubb portfolio to identify joint opportunities.
- Act as a central point of coordination for Consumer New Business activity, fostering strong collaboration.
- Build credibility and influence with senior stakeholders through data-driven insights and clear communication.
- Champion a proactive, accountable, and customer-focused sales culture.
Qualifications Skills & Experience
- Extensive sales experience, ideally within Consumer Accident & Health and Personal Lines insurance.
- Proven track record of delivering new business growth against challenging targets.
- Demonstrated expertise in pipeline management, CRM usage, and KPI-driven sales management.
- Ability to operate effectively in a complex, matrixed organisation with multiple stakeholders.
- Strong commercial acumen, balancing growth, profitability, and risk.
