About the Role

The EMEA Claims Operations MI/BI team (Management Information & Business Intelligence) is responsible for providing deep data insights to COG, regional EMEA Leadership, local claims clusters/countries heads, and the Senior Leadership Team. This includes claims trend analytics with predefined KPIs, trend developments over time, and sophisticated predictive trend forecasts & staffing models with management recommendations. Basic EMEA Claims data generation is managed offshore, while advanced data interpretation & KPI trend analysis are conducted onshore, close to the business Regional Claims Managers, Claims Country Managers, & Line of Business heads.

Responsibilities

  • The Business Intelligence Analyst will be accountable for data analytics & advanced data generation, accuracy, timeliness, and communication/escalations to stakeholders as needed.
  • Establish a strong understanding and connection with IT data sources to generate, validate, and discuss data sources and validity, building sustainable relationships with Claims Handlers, IT, Data, actuarial departments, and other key internal departments in Chubb EMEA.
  • Monitor the delivery and performance of MI/BI to support data generation activities and understand processes involved.
  • Engage operationally with ongoing projects identified as MI/BI critical or where data interpretation and generation are needed throughout the year.
  • Focus on Chubb’s Claims Craftsmanship modules & relevant MI/BI training on all Chubb systems, data manipulation, and digital innovations.
  • Drive self-studies to stay updated and maintain a sustainable knowledge base.
  • Work within the framework of Chubb's ethical and service standards, adhering to current WFH regulations.
  • Demonstrate flexibility, agility, team cooperation, lean & Six Sigma mindset, and long-term business thinking.

Qualifications

  • Strong interpersonal communication skills to quickly understand strategic business requirements, self-prioritize, deliver on time, and escalate support when necessary.
  • Working knowledge of building data/reporting solutions from enterprise systems (e.g., IBM Netezza, Microsoft SQL Server, IBM DB2).
  • Experience with reporting tools such as QlikSense, QlikView, Cognos BI, SSRS, or similar.
  • Solid SQL querying & scripting skills; fluency is preferred.
  • Understanding of data lake/data warehouse concepts and design principles.
  • Fluent in English and one or two additional relevant local languages preferred.
  • University degree in Business Administration, Mathematics, Statistics, or equivalent qualifications in an international or global corporate environment.
  • Strong sense of execution and accountability, with the ability to explain complex matters simply to main stakeholders.
  • Strong regional analytical thinking to drive conclusions, anticipate trends, and develop relevant hypotheses based on data insights.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset, capable of leading meetings under tight deadlines and pressure.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex fundamentals simply.
  • At least 5+ years of relevant experience in Insurance or similar industry.
