Do you have a proven background in handling end to end Claims? We have an excellent opportunity for a Technical Lines Claims Handler to join our claims department in Glasgow. In this role, you will support the Technical Lines Claims area by ensuring accurate assessment and proactive management of claims. This should be carried out in accordance with the conditions of the cover, Chubb Policy and Procedures, and agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs) for internal and external customers. You will handle Technical Lines claims (initially up to a value of £25,000) within authority limits.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Accurately assess and evaluate ‘non-complex’ claims.
  • Policy liability, reserve calculations and settlement values, in accordance with Policy and Procedures within personal handling authority.
  • Support and maintain, as directed by Technical Lines Manager, contact with key client relationships regarding specific customers or accounts for issues such as: late notification of claims, case progress, and issuing specific insured requirements within SLAs.
  • Refer client issues that cannot be resolved to Technical Lines Manager.
  • Ensure all incoming call enquiries are handled efficiently and with a customer focus, providing a professional service at all times.
  • Proactive prioritisation and management of own allocated workload.
  • Identify complaints and recognise customer expressions of dissatisfaction to ensure such customer issues are handled or escalated.
  • Ensure personal adherence and continually maintain and update own knowledge of Chubb Policy and Procedures and regulatory authority requirements.
  • Demonstrate personal knowledge and awareness of compliance requirements and take personal responsibility for adherence to regulatory and compliance control mechanisms that are in place.
  • Maintain and develop both own technical knowledge and expertise.
  • Undertake all other duties as reasonably required by Technical Lines Manager that are applicable to this role.
Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in a Technical Claims handling role.
  • Experience in dealing with Machinery, Plant, Construction or Property claims is preferred, although not essential.
  • Excellent Customer Service skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
