Following business growth, we have a Commercial Insurance Claims Team Manager opportunity in Birmingham.
Responsibilities
- Lead a team of Claims Handlers who manage a portfolio of claims across multiple lines of business including coverage analysis, investigation, evaluation of policy liability, legal liability (where appropriate) and quantum.
- Recruit, coach, mentor and lead team of claim adjusters handling claims.
- Act as part of a team to ensure both Team and individual goals are met and to work with third party service providers to ensure claims service standards are maintained.
- Work within the framework of Chubb ethical and service standards.
- Represent Chubb at internal and external meetings.
- Build and maintain client relationships.
- Provide general assistance and support to senior claims adjusters, managers and underwriters including projects and ad-hoc tasks as they arise.
Qualifications
- Previous Claims management experience at Team Leader/supervisor level.
- Cross line of business experience, with Commercial Insurance experience being advantageous.
- Competent in Microsoft Office with a sound understanding of the insurance/reinsurance market (preferred).
- Demonstration of practical and common sense approach to dealing with situations.
- Solid technical claims experience.
