Chubb is seeking an ambitious Risk Engineer to join our growing UKI team. The successful candidate will undertake Commercial Insurance (CI) property and multi-line surveys across lower, mid and upper mid-market, deliver high-quality risk engineering reports, and provide technical support to internal and external CI stakeholders. This is a field-based role with flexibility for office attendance. The role is an exciting opportunity for a candidate with a willingness to learn new skills and forge a career in risk engineering.

Key Responsibilities

  • Undertake Commercial Insurance (CI) property and multi-line surveys across the UK
  • Produce quality risk engineering reports in a timely manner
  • Develop targeted and pragmatic risk improvement recommendations
  • Provide risk engineering technical support to all Chubb CI stakeholders, internal and external
  • Undertake desktop reviews for new and existing CI business
  • Represent Chubb on external bodies
  • Attend internal and external meetings with underwriters, brokers, and key clients

Qualifications

  • Willingness to travel UK-wide and occasionally overseas
  • Degree or diploma in engineering, risk management, or physical sciences
  • Experience in risk engineering, risk management, health & safety, or facilities management
  • Knowledge of property, BI and casualty risks in the mid-market space
  • Flexible and adaptive approach
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision
  • Embrace emerging risks and new technology
  • Willingness to learn new skills and develop a career in risk engineering
  • Demonstrated ability to analyse technical issues, summarise findings, and identify corrective actions
  • Effective communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to develop relationships at all levels of an organisation
  • Excellent written and spoken English language skills
  • Strong technical report writing skills – ability to write clearly and concisely
