We are looking to hire a Security Service Engineer to join our team across Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire. Key to this role is experience in CCTV, Intruder and Access Control. We specialise in the design, development, supply, installation and commissioning of complex integrated systems that meet the most stringent demands.

SALARY: Up to ÂŁ37.5k base + OTE.

The Service Engineer is field‑based and part of a team that travels across defined geographical areas, reporting directly to a regional supervisor and regional manager. Candidates will be diverse and receive training to maintain and service multi‑disciplined systems, which may include one or more of the following: sophisticated CCTV, access control, perimeter detection, intruder detection, integrated management systems, intercoms, PCs and other computer platforms.

Training is provided through various means – external and internal formal courses, mentoring and further study. Experience in any of the relevant disciplines is desirable and beneficial; the ability to demonstrate sound technical knowledge via formal qualifications, technical assessment or evidenced experience is required.

Goals And Objectives

  • Provide first‑line remedial reactive service and routine maintenance activities for all company and third‑party products used within the local region.
  • Assist in commissioning and installation support for project works, if required.

Core Responsibilities

  • Repair, maintain and service systems in accordance with relevant procedures, engineer instructions and specific system specifications.
  • Ensure client satisfaction in all aspects of installation, maintenance and service visits prior to leaving the site, consistently projecting a high level of quality customer service.
  • Be available for standby on a call‑out rota, as required within the team.

Candidate Requirements

  • Good basic education and ideally a relevant qualification in the electrical/electronic industry. Alternatively able to demonstrate in‑depth knowledge through assessment.
  • Field service experience.
  • Good standard of IT skills (computer‑literate).
  • Good level of customer‑service experience.
  • IPAF, ECS, CSCS, safety passport holder or similar would be beneficial.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Able to demonstrate good technical knowledge in at least two of the following disciplines: CCTV, intruder, access control & perimeter systems, networking.
