Job Description
Our Estimating department currently has an open position for individuals to join the Estimating team, dedicated to delivering tender proposals. This role entails ensuring the completion of tenders aligns with survey details and bid specifications, providing comprehensive detail and costing within specified deadlines. The primary objective is to guarantee accurate costing for each project, meeting all essential client requirements. Effective communication with manufacturers, suppliers, contractors, and clients is crucial for success in this role.
Goals and Objectives
- Develop winning strategies and prelims against tender programmes for projects.
- Translate business strategy and objectives into winning tender responses, create and implement winning bids.
- Actively promote and implement best practice processes and outputs.
Responsibilities
- Review new enquiries into the business.
- Ensure technical and commercial compliance with all customer technical and specification requirements.
- Prepare all tender return documentation including response documents, technical compliance statements, project programmes (in Projects), and technical schematics.
Qualifications
- Experience working under pressure and managing multiple overlapping deadlines.
- Experience in the security industry and knowledge of compliance standards.
- Competence in the operation of all relevant information technology solutions and applications, including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Visio, PowerPoint, Projects) and Countfire.
- Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy in work.
