As a Technical Pre-Sales Support Fire Designer, no two days will be the same. You will Provide technical advice to both the customer and the area sales consultants and help to develop proposals based on our customer\’s requirements. You will engage with local customers as well as maintaining documents and processes to enhance the performance of sales engineering. This role will support commercial sellers in selling fire systems, enhancing their confidence and capabilities. You will accompany the seller on-site, acting as the technical expert while the commercial seller focuses on their salesmanship. Whilst you will be expected to put the designs together, you will also be supported by desk-based designers at peak times. You will integrate into the Pre-Sales Design Team as a central support function, providing scalability to all branches and business units, simplifying processes and communications, and ensuring consistent quality and standards across the team. This will allow for a more streamlined and efficient design process, as the Design Excellence team can provide focused support and quicker turnaround times by leveraging both desk-based and local designers working together. You will also provide telephone support to the seller when needed. What We Would Like You To Bring Must have Fire Design Experience – ability to site survey, put together costings and provide technical drawings. Must be competent in designing fire alarm systems to BS5839-1 & BS5839-6 and Emergency Lighting to BS5266 Ability to communicate and manage various stakeholders and customers Be engaging with the customers and look to provide solutions. CAD design or BlueBeam experience desirable but not essential. Valid ESC card desirable but not essential. Must have current British driving licence. Ability to multitask and work to tight deadlines.
