This role leads actuarial insights, reporting, and pricing projects within the COG Pricing team. It is responsible for turning data into clear business insight, improving reporting and data quality, and supporting the modernisation of pricing tools and processes.
The role reports to the Head of Pricing for Property and Casualty and has direct line management responsibility for the COG MI Manager and an Actuarial Analyst.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the development of clear, insightful actuarial reporting for senior stakeholders.
- Translate complex data into actionable recommendations that support decision-making.
- Improve existing reporting processes, controls, and data quality.
- Drive actuarial data initiatives across pricing, modelling, reporting, and analytics.
- Support the adoption of new technologies and data platforms to improve efficiency and insight.
- Lead pricing modernisation projects and promote best practice across the team.
- Partner with analytics, planning, reserving, CAT modelling, and underwriting teams.
- Manage and develop the COG MI Manager and Actuarial Analyst.
- Support the development of junior actuaries and encourage knowledge sharing across the team.
- Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries or equivalent.
- Knowledge of property, casualty, cyber, financial lines, and marine insurance products.
- At least 5 years’ pricing experience in P&C insurance.
- Strong leadership and people management experience.
- Experience delivering complex projects and working with senior stakeholders.
- Strong analytical skills, with experience using large datasets.
- Experience with SQL or Python is desirable.
- Advanced Excel skills.
- Experience in a global or multi-regional environment is desirable.
