Location: Chalfont St Peter – Chubb Fire & Security Ltd.

We are looking for a Commercial Specialist to support commercial activities including processing orders, legal Business Contract Review process, and data analysis. This is a hybrid role based out of our Chalfont St Peter office. The position is critical to the smooth running of the department.

The successful candidate will liaise between all departments to ensure that cost changes, lessons learned, and equipment changes are captured and accounted for. Candidates will have strong knowledge of Excel, a keen eye for detail, strong analytical thinking, and the ability to multitask across multiple projects, interfacing with multiple departments and project teams. They will be critical in the Business Contract Review process, ensuring that contracts are negotiated in line with business compliance. The candidate must be able to interact with different internal stakeholders, external customers, and suppliers to ensure the commercial targets of our business are achieved.

Business Contract Review

  • Carry out the reviews of terms and conditions & contracts on projects up to £200,000
  • Follow internal governance and procedures ensuring compliance of terms and conditions align with business policies.
  • Cross‑functional working with other departments & stakeholders.
  • Negotiating with customers to work towards project specific conditions
  • Conduit between Frontline team and Chubb Legal team

Order Intake

  • Manage and own the Order Intake process end‑to‑end ensuring business processes are followed
  • Owning and providing audit information as requested
  • Support the team with queries, issues and driving orders through the business
  • Improve the process by building in efficiencies whilst remaining compliant
  • Actively promote and implement best practice processes and outputs.
  • Log and progress order intake disputes and anomalies to a satisfactory conclusion in a timely manner
  • Take ownership of ensuring the processes are compliant to wider business processes

Strategic Projects

  • Be a contributing and leading member of strategic projects
  • Liaising between departments to understand process activities and be able to work with supply chain and the wider business to demonstrate improvements
  • Coherently be able to communicate requirements and lead teams forward with changes
  • Be a change champion to improve business processes that add value and efficiencies to the teams
  • Develop and deliver with Projects, Service and Finance to achieve cross functional process improvements.

Reporting and Commercial Queries

  • Set up, produce and regularly report on key data
  • Produce and maintain analytical data reports for the Management Team in line with agreed timescales and the required quality
  • Fully understand department pricing tools to be able to govern, troubleshoot and solve queries
  • Troubleshoot commercial pricing queries and work with the team to resolve and continuously improve
