PURPOSE: To provide expert legal advice relating to Wills, Powers of Attorney, Trust, Tax Probate and Estate Administration, managing a diverse caseload while delivering exceptional client service and building long-term relationships within a collaborative and supportive team environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Managing and supervising one Fee Earner and one Legal Assistant.
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships through excellent service.
- Attending clients at their homes or other agreed locations as required.
- Handling and managing a varied caseload for a variety of individual clients efficiently and effectively while remaining flexible to changing demands.
- Drafting wills and Powers of Attorney.
- Taking responsibility for all standard legal areas, including trust, probate, and tax advice work.
- Progressing client matters in a timely manner, ensuring service level agreements are met using the case management system.
- Delivering a profitable contribution to the department through personal fee-earning work and achieving individual time and billing targets.
- Demonstrating a compassionate and sensitive approach, particularly when working with elderly or incapacitated clients.
- Collaborating with colleagues across practice areas to provide comprehensive legal advice.
- Conducting research as necessary to provide accurate and informed advice.
- Keeping up to date with relevant legislative changes.
- Ensuring client matters are progressed efficiently and that files are maintained to a high standard.
