Job Description
M&E Commissioning Manager required – Hertfordshire\\n\\n- Up to £75,000 plus package\\n\\nI'm looking for an experienced Commissioning Manager to lead all aspects of commissioning for complex refurbishment and M&E upgrade projects, often within operational hospital settings. This role ensures systems are safe, compliant, and fully operational before handover.\\n\\nKey Responsibilities\\n\\n * \\n\\n Develop, manage, and implement commissioning plans for building services and specialist systems.\\n\\n * \\n\\n Oversee commissioning of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and life safety systems in line with HTM, SFG20, and project standards.\\n\\n * \\n\\n Coordinate with design teams, M&E subcontractors, and client representatives to ensure readiness for commissioning.\\n\\n * \\n\\n Lead commissioning meetings, witness testing, and manage snagging and defect resolution.\\n\\n * \\n\\n Ensure compliance with CDM, health & safety, and infection control protocols on live hospital sites.\\n\\n * \\n\\n Manage all commissioning documentation including checklists, test sheets, O&M manuals, and certification.\\n\\n * \\n\\n Support integration of new systems into existing infrastructure with minimal disruption to critical services.\\n\\n * \\n\\n Contribute to project handover and post-completion review.\\n\\nKey Requirements\\n\\n * \\n\\n Proven experience in commissioning management within the UK construction industry, ideally on hospital or healthcare projects.\\n\\n * \\n\\n Strong knowledge of M&E systems and relevant guidance (e.g., HTMs, CIBSE, BSRIA).\\n\\n * \\n\\n Excellent planning, coordination, and stakeholder management skills.\\n\\n * \\n\\n Experience working in live/occupied environments with awareness of infection prevention and control protocols
