Assistant/ Intermediate M&E QS Required - Central London £35,000 - £50,000 plus company benefits.

I'm currently working with one of the leading M&E Contractors in London who are looking to recruit an additional Assistant M&E QS to their team. The business has a tried and tested training and development program where many of the Senior Surveyors in the business have progressed through the ranks whilst being mentored by the Commercial Director and Commercial Managers.

Experience working within the M&E Sector is required with ideal experience being someone that has at least 2/3 years on the job. The role itself will be supporting a Senior M&E QS on a recently secured project within the City valued around £10m MEP. Beyond this project, they will be looking for this person to potentially manage their own smaller project.

Open to people from different project sectors whether it's residential, commercial, education or retail but the MEP Experience is required. Being degree qualified would be a bonus but not required. They would be open to assisting with further academic studies for the right individual.

Duties will include:

  • Assisting Cost Value reconciliations (CVRs)
  • Assisting Cash Flow forecasting
  • Management of subcontractor accounts
  • Negotiation of variations, calculations & settlement of assisting final accounts
  • Procurement of specialist Mechanical and Electrical Sub-Contractors
  • Managing monthly project cost reports in time for monthly Directors meetings
  • Preparation of monthly Project Valuations and preparation of Project Final Account
