On behalf of our client, a leading FTSE 100 housebuilder, we are seeking a talented Development Engineer to join their team. What Youll Be Doing

  • Provide expert engineering support throughout all stages of the development process.
  • Undertake civil engineering design or evaluate external consultants designs to ensure theyre cost-effective, compliant, and practical.
  • Commission and manage consultants for civil and structural designs, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality information for tendering and production.
  • Work closely with local authorities, statutory bodies, and other key stakeholders to overcome engineering challenges.
  • Ensure designs adhere to CDM/EMS regulations and proactively mitigate risks.
  • Manage community engagement consultations to support planning applications.
  • Continuously appraise and evaluate new site opportunities for development.

What You Bring

  • Extensive industry experience in housebuilding engineering, including roads, sewers, utilities, foundations, and land drainage.
  • An engineering-related degree or qualification (ideally accredited by RICS or ICE).
  • High proficiency in AutoCAD, PDS.
  • Awareness of Windes, and Microdrainage.
  • A solid understanding of technical and regulatory requirements, geotechnical and environmental reports, and remediation techniques.
  • Proven ability to deliver innovative, practical, and cost-effective solutions under tight deadlines.
