We have an opportunity for a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our dynamic multi-disciplinary team. Our Building Performance Engineering business offers the expertise required for world-class environmental design of buildings including acoustics, building physics, façade performance, mechanical and electrical systems, lighting design, occupational analysis, public health engineering, and low-to-zero carbon technologies.
We bring a fresh approach to M&E, getting involved early, working collaboratively within the design team, highlighting options, guiding the design development and using our expertise to help clients make key decisions – an approach that always results in a building that delivers. Our solutions are tailored to the client – with simplicity of design often key, but with the ability to deliver bespoke highly technical solutions as well.
We work across all sectors, including commercial, industrial, manufacturing, logistics, heritage, retail, leisure and residential for end user clients, investors, developers, architects, and project managers or engineer-led project teams. This diversity of work streams and the fact all team members work across every sector means we are constantly cross-pollinating ideas.
- HNC/HND/Degree or equivalent certified Mechanical Engineer
- Be an experienced design engineer or come from a contracting background
- Enthusiastic
- Strong communication, analysis, technical design and drawing skills
- Be a self-motivated team player with good people skills
- A comprehensive knowledge of current building regulations including gas and water regulations
- A sound knowledge of renewables including solar, heat pumps (air, ground and water)
- A sound knowledge of combined heat and power systems.
