Overview

Online Merchandiser – Carlisle

The role is to key role within our successful websites. You will need to be highly organised, self-motivated. You will be working in a fast paced and varied role and the successful applicant will be expected to take ownership of projects and be responsible for maintaining our product portfolio on our customer facing sites. You will be requiring to ensure you can deliver a strong working relationship within the business. Working with customer services, IT, and Buying & Merchandising teams.

Responsibilities

  • Using Microsoft Excel to log product intake and descriptions
  • Manage all products listed on our sites and to upload new products.
  • Liaising with the Photography Studio to make sure products are shot and returned within a timely manner
  • Ensure that products, category pages and collections are maintained to a high standard as per the business requirements
  • Writing informative, persuasive, and SEO-friendly product names and features.
  • Maintain all touch points including cross-sell/upsell opportunities, visual merchandising, taxonomy, and product recommendations
  • Review on-site search results to deliver the best customer experience
  • Using data to drive profitable sales, Using Google Analytics to track daily online performance
  • Weekly and monthly reporting on product and category performance
  • Identifying opportunities to increase conversion rate and revenue
  • Supporting the team with any ad hoc tasks

Desirable requirements

  • An excellent understanding of e-commerce, retailing both in Fashion and Homeware
  • Excellent Knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Experience in the use of the Magento & Google Analytics and other online applications.
  • Data analysis skills
  • Content skills both product, copy, content & media
  • Commercially aware and results driven
