Opportunity for a Health and Safety Advisor to join the Health and Safety department. The exceptional approach of our Client to health and safety is demonstrated by the multiple number of Gold RoSPA awards we have received, while their Safety Management System is UKAS accredited to the OHSAS standard.
The purpose of the role
The H&S Advisor will be responsible for the timely delivery, accuracy, recording and filing of health and safety information. They will also have responsibility for the production, reviewing and editing of health and safety documentation, ensuring quality and accuracy and providing health and safety advice to company employees on an individual and project basis, promoting company health and safety policies, initiatives and best practice.
Core job functions:
- Provide health and safety advice to members.
- Produce, review, edit, and approve health and safety documentation.
- Analysis, review and update health and safety databases, including sub-contractor vetting.
- Inspection and audit of site investigation projects.
- Delivery of health and safety training.
The role will also involve travelling to projects around the UK, resulting in some overnight stays in accommodation.
The person we seek
Essential skills:
- NEBOSH National or Construction Certificate.
- Minimum two years’ experience working in health and safety, within construction sector.
- Strong IT skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Self-motivated team player with good people skills.
Desirable skills:
- Construction or remediation management experience.
- NEBOSH Diploma.
