Chief Human Resources Officer | Strategic HR Leadership at Chronicle Heritage UK. The role involves leading strategic HR initiatives and overseeing high-quality bids for cultural heritage projects worldwide.
Responsibilities
- Lead the bid process from opportunity identification through to submission and post-bid review.
- Develop winning bid strategies in collaboration with senior leadership, technical experts, and business development teams.
- Oversee the bid pipeline, ensuring alignment with company priorities and market opportunities.
Bid Coordination & Management
- Manage all stages of bid preparation, including planning, content development, review, and submission.
- Coordinate inputs from multi-disciplinary teams across archaeology, architecture, conservation, and related disciplines.
- Ensure all proposals meet procurement requirements, compliance standards, and client expectations.
- Maintain detailed bid schedules and ensure deadlines are met without compromising quality.
Quality Assurance & Continuous Improvement
- Maintain and enhance a central bid library, templates, and style guides.
- Conduct post-bid evaluations to identify lessons learned and drive continuous improvement.
- Monitor global heritage sector funding streams and tender trends.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement
- Work closely with project teams, marketing, and technical specialists to prepare persuasive case studies and capability statements.
- Collaborate with international partners, stakeholders, and subcontractors for joint submissions.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, and funding bodies to enhance future opportunities.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in cultural heritage management, archaeology, architecture, heritage conservation, or a closely related field.
- Proven experience managing bids, preferably within the cultural heritage, environmental, or consultancy sectors.
- Demonstrated success in securing high-value international contracts.
- Exceptional written, editing, and communication skills in English.
- Strong project management and organisational abilities.
- Familiarity with international procurement processes.
- Proficiency with Microsoft and Adobe programs.
- Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and able to work to tight deadlines.
Desired Qualifications
- Master’s or Doctorate in a related field.
- Experience in international heritage work, particularly in the Middle East and/or UK.
- Background in working on UNESCO World Heritage Sites.
- Business development skills and experience.
- Proficiency in Arabic (written and spoken) is an advantage.
Schedule
Monday–Friday, standard Middle Eastern or European business hours; occasional weekend work as necessary.
Location
Saudi Arabia / United Kingdom (Remote) – Fully remote role with occasional international travel. Applicants from any location are welcome.
