About Chronicle Heritage

Chronicle Heritage is a solution-driven heritage consulting firm dedicated to advancing cultural resource management through innovation, technology, and expertise. We support our clients in managing non-renewable cultural resources while investing in our people through professional development, research, and forward-thinking practices.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced International Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) to support our growing International Heritage Programme. In this role, you will act as a trusted advisor to leadership, driving organisational effectiveness and ensuring HR practices are aligned across multiple regions, including the UK, the EU, the Middle East, and other international locations. Employed within our international team, this role operates in alignment with Chronicle Heritage’s corporate standards, policies, and ways of working. The International HRBP will help ensure that HR support across international markets is both locally informed and consistently executed, in line with enterprise expectations for compliance, quality, and accountability.

This role includes oversight of regional HR leads in our more mature market, particularly Saudi Arabia, while personally leading HR support in our emerging markets. It requires both strategic leadership and hands-on delivery, including helping to research employment risks, labour requirements, and compliance considerations as we evaluate market expansion opportunities. You will support a geographically distributed workforce across multiple countries, consisting of a mix of employees and contractors, in a rapidly expanding international environment. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys balancing strategic HR partnership with operational execution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as a strategic HR partner to international leadership, supporting business planning, workforce strategy, and organisational development
  • Oversee and guide regional HR leads in established markets, particularly Saudi Arabia, to ensure alignment with corporate standards, policies, and HR ways of working
  • Personally lead HR support in emerging markets, building practical and compliant approaches as the business grows
  • Execute international HR processes and programmes in alignment with enterprise standards, while partnering with regional and in-country leaders to validate local feasibility, compliance, and appropriateness
  • Help research employment risks, labour requirements, and compliance obligations in new and emerging markets as part of market expansion planning
  • Design and implement scalable, compliant HR policies and programmes across multiple countries
  • Lead talent management initiatives, including workforce planning, performance management, and succession planning
  • Lead the development and delivery of training programmes, professional development initiatives, and career pathway frameworks across international teams
  • Support employee engagement and foster an inclusive, high-performing culture across international teams
  • Provide guidance on employee relations matters, conflict resolution, and disciplinary processes
  • Partner with compensation, benefits, and mobility teams to support equitable global reward strategies
  • Support international hiring, right-to-work compliance, and employment contract updates
  • Collaborate with Operations and HR leaders on workforce planning and resource allocation
  • Manage vendor and subcontractor relationships, including contract review, performance tracking, and invoicing
  • Analyse HR data and provide insights to support strategic decision-making
  • Act as a liaison between internal teams, vendors, and subcontractors to meet project needs
  • Oversee and support key administrative and operational processes, including maintaining certifications and compliance records, coordinating on-call staffing, supporting vendor portal registrations, and ensuring alignment with Quality Management, Legal, and Health & Safety functions

What Success Looks Like

  • Consistent, compliant, and scalable HR practices across all international regions
  • Strong alignment between regional HR leads, emerging market execution, and corporate HR standards
  • Effective workforce planning that supports continued international growth
  • Clear and impactful training, development, and career pathway programmes
  • High levels of employee engagement and retention across regions
  • Efficient management of contractors, vendors, and EOR relationships
  • Practical insight into employment risk and compliance requirements that supports thoughtful market expansion
